Update: In case you missed it, this went out to my folks on the email list right before Valentine’s Day…

Ok fellas, it’s Ronnie Romance time again! The Good Life is better spent together and Valentine’s Day is a perfect opportunity to enjoy it. This V-day is a whole new ball game for me…wifey and I will be in the Bay Area and our son Che’ is 10 months old. This means getting Grandma on deck for some babysitting is the first priority. It also means that all the Bay has to offer is within short driving distance…or as I decided this Valentine’s…a short Ferry Ride!

We’ll start off the festivities right on Saturday with a ferry ride to Tiburon (a cozy little community with sweeping views of the city and the Bay) for lunch and drinks by the water…a perfect place to present the personalized meditation book I found for her. IMO gift giving is all about paying attention to each other’s wants and needs. The daily meditations we started sharing a few months ago have been an amazing source of positive energy and much needed reflection. A special book for writing her meditations will be a perfect gift!

The ferry from Tiburon should return to the San Francisco Pier around 6pm, just in time to slide over to Yoshi’s for a surprise sushi dinner and Dela Soul concert!

We’ll stumble home and cap the night off with a strong concoction we call a Black Mac (Vodka, cream, & Macadamia Nut Liquor we picked up in Kawaii this past Thanksgiving!) and of course Jimmy and Jenny will get very serious…. ☺ Buddy Buddy Buddy!

V-day morning we’ll have a family photo shoot put together by the missus…her Dad’s B-day happens to be Feb 14th, so we’ll dress up to commemorate his first B-day as a grandfather properly in pictures. Next stop is Pican the new upscale soul food restaurant in the renovated Fox Theatre District of Oakland for a family brunch. Then, we’ll hop in the six five impala and cruise 20 min to a mountain bike path around Lake Chabot with views of the lake and bay

…I’ll have the bikes hidden in the Impala’s monster trunk along with a few treats for the ride (her favorite pastry from Lady Finger’s Bakery, fresh Mango Margaritas mixed in a “to-go-er” bottle, and her favorite shrimp sandwich from Genovese Famous Deli)…after a couple hours of ridin’, snackin’, sippin’, and chillaxin’ we have his & her massages scheduled with a dip in a private hot tub to finish off a perfect Valentine’s Day(s)!
